hi,
the situation has arise, that i am able to apply for a business school. they are not at the top of the heap and they require a minimum of 550, so i am thinking if i get 600+ i should be ok with admissions.

i just started studying for GMAT 2 days ago. prior to this i had no idea what GMAT test were even about.

in the past 2 days, i have bought the offical GMAT verbal guide, 12th edition, and the Manhattan verbal guide.

i know i am weak at sentence correction, but with reading comprehension, and critical reasoning, i am almost scoring 95% on offical GMAT guide, but scoring only 60% on Manhattan verbal guide.

what would you guys, who are experience in preperation of GMAT suggest for the verbal section. I only have 10 days left, and what would be the best way forward. Should I practise with Kaplan, or Princeton test.

I am kind of worried now that I am scoring so low on Manhattan test.

any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

I found that OG is easier than Manhattan GMAT as well.

I would suggest to solve all problems in OG and make sure you review all incorrect ones very carefully to understand what you did wrong. If you only have 10 days left - take a vacation or sick days and study.

In your situation I would suggest jumping on timed online tests (you can buy them from Manhattan GMAT or Princeton) as quickly as possible after solving OG. GMAC distributes two official practice tests - take them two days before the exam to make sure you practice with real questions and getting a feel for real exam.

Also - do not forget about Math. What is your Q/V breakdown? It is easier to address the biggest gap, but it is also important to have balanced breakdown.

Let me know if this helps.
