10 first questions.GMATprep(mba.com) algorithm VS real GMAT

hI GUYS!



I did my second gmat prep last sunday and I was astonished when I saw that I got a 47 in quantitative (82 percentil)
although I had guessed the last ten questions. From these 10 final guesses 3 were right, but anyway i think is quite a high score.

1. I AM STARTING TO THINK THAT THE FIRST QUESTIONS ARE DEFINETELY MORE INPORTANT. aM I RIGHT?

2. A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME THAT THE GMAT PREP(MBA.COM) GIVES YOU HIGHER SCORES THAN THE REAL TEST,
aNY EXPERT SUGGESTION????

3. I DOWNLOAD THE GMAT PREP FROM MBA.COM ONE YEAR AGO. DO THEY UPDATE THE TESTS???. MIGHT IT BE A DIFFERENT ONE RIGHT NOW?

#1. I have a strong feeling that it may only be a rumour. You should rather focus on all questions rather than just first 10 qns. Make sure that you don't spend too much time on each qn. Answering consecutive questions incorrectly will harm your percentile.

#2. This might be true. Many of the guys in the forum have experienced high scores in GMATPrep than the real test including myself. Current GMAT tests have become lot more difficult than what GMATPrep qns have. Remember that GMATPrep s/w contains a huge question bank of RETIRED qns (Qns no longer in use in the current GMAT test). So, it is obvious that retired qns will be slightly easier than the current (although not to a great extent).

#3. Whatever you download now from the site, it is the latest version. If you have a feeling that it might be different now, it is safe that you re-download and re-install the s/w.
