Hi,
I’ve been a reader of this forum for some time now. I had planned to write about my GMAT experience after taking the test, but I managed to goof up the test. So instead I ask for advice for the exam that I plan to take again in 2 weeks.
Here are some of my previous prep scores.
Manhattan Online – 710 (Q46, V41)
Gmat Prep 1 – 730 (Q47, V42)
Gmat prep 2 – 640 (Q47, V34) I was couldn’t concentrate while doing the verbal section.
Gmat Prep 1 (2) - 770 (Q49, V46)
Gmat Prep 2 (2) - 770 (Q49, V45)
LOTS of repeats in these 2 preps. I know the score is highly skewed, but figured that I should atleast be able to get a 700 on the actual test.
Actual GMAT – 640 (Q42, V37)
I just couldn’t think during the math section. When 10 mins were left, I was on the 20th-22nd question, just guessed on the rest. I have no idea what happened to me on the test day, but yeah, the questions seemed hard to me. Spent 5 mins on the 1st question.
I know I did some silly things such as study before the test date, study on the day of the test, etc. But that would still not justify my quantitative performance or even verbal, where I believed I had done decently before seeing the score.
Anyways, I wanted to know how someone living outside the US can get access to the Manhattan online CAT’s. I believe you need to buy a Manhattan book, which is not available in India, to get access to the CAT’s.
Is the Manhattan CAT Verbal section harder than the actual GMAT or is it around the same level.
Also, preparation advice for the next 2 weeks would be greatly appreciated. I really really need to get a 700 score.
Thanks
