NEED A RC ADVICE!

by sch » Sat Jul 03, 2010 5:11 am
I have just finished Power Score CR Bible, and moved on to Manhattan CR guide. I thought I will have all the basis covered if I read both of them. But Manhattan CR guide is far inferior to the Power Score. Should I even continue going through Manhattan CR or is it just a waste of time? Anyone with similar experiances? Also, im a little worried about sentance correction now, after seeing that Power Score is a superior product for the verbal section. I only have Manhattan guide for sentance correction. Will it do the trick?!

As far as I know/heard, MGMAT SC is the best available for Sentence Correction.. I am not familiar with powerscore SC or MGMAT CR Though!!

I don't think you can do too much work on the SC section. I used the Manhattan and one other book from a small company and that did the trick for me. I think that if you read the book several times and really absorb the concepts you should be fine, but again, the more SC rules you learn the better.

Also, different guides often have different approaches for the CR and RC sections. I would stick with one guide for these sections and then just practice a ton. When it comes to reading comprehension, there is no substitute for just reading everyday. With SC on the other hand- different books can give you extra beneficial information.

powerScore CR is great. You can go through MgMat CR but don't expect much knowledge additional from it.

For. SC the case is reverse.
