If CD is the diameter of the circle, does x equal 30?

(1) The length of CD is twice the length of BD.

(2) y = 60

was one of the question.

I know I didn't attach the diagram, but the explanation said

"we know that this triangle has a right angle because it's inscribed in a semi-circle, hyp. = diameter.

When the triangle uses the diameter of the circle has hyp, and other point on the circle, does that make this a right triangle?
