I thought getting a 450 will be quite easy! However it was not. I practised Kaplan problems and in almost every mock test I scored 500+. However, I scored very poorly in the CAT from GMAT website 310 and 380 which was a month apart. I can surely tell Kaplan over scored me and gave me a wrong impression. My deadline for application is on August 01, 2012 and planning to appear for the exam during the month of July. I need some advise on how to get atleast 450 this time?

I know my weaknesses are CR and reading comprehension in the verbal part and the geomatry and data sufficiency had been my weakest part in math portion.

Please help!

With the right approach, 450 should not be too tough to get.

Rather than attempting too many questions, focus first on getting the basic concepts sorted out.

For instance, as you've pointed out that DS is a weak area, find out specifically what you are struggling with and try to get help on that. As a start, you might want to try out these Data Sufficiency questions.

Tackle RC and CR in the same way.
