(x - 3)^2 > 0 need not mean that x>3.. because, x=1 also staisfies it.

a + 1/a >=2 for all positive a.
here a = x/3. so for all positive values of x/3 the statement holds true.
Let us put values and see.. clearly A is not answer.. because if x is -ve value, x/3+3/x will never be >2
So A, D are out.
if x>1, then x=3 will give value 2. and x=2 will give value greater than 2.
So B is also Out.
I belive answer should be C.
For any value between 1 and 3 it satisfies the equation..

STMT 1. x<3....check the inequality using values of x<3 Insufficient
stmt2...Take any value of x>1 and the given inequality is satisfied....please check at your end...Sufficient

So, St 1 -- Not sufficient

when x=3, x/3+3/x = 2 > 2 , NO
When x = 9 , x/3+3/x = 3 + 1/3 > 2 , YES

Taken together, all values of x b/w 1 and 3 satisfy the inequality. Hence -- C
