total faction force

In a faction, the number of gents is more than the number of ladies by 12 percent of the total faction force. What is the ratio in the number of gents to that of ladies in the faction?
(A) 11:14
(B) 25:28
(C) 28:25
(D) 14:11
(E) 25:14

m=male
f=female

let say the total faction has 100 people
m+f=100
as per given statement
m-f=12

solving two equation m =56,f=44

m/f=14/11

Answer D.
Is it correct?
