I think E is the correct answer. Market is the Subject here and is singular...so on these basis we can rule out A, B and D.

in C, 'such as aluminium and other metals' is modifying market incorrectly
Please correct me if I am wrong!
I have started to realize that I am the one!!!

I will go with C.

"Like" is used to introduce similaraties while "such as" to introduce examples so we can eliminate A,B and E
We can eliminate D because it use the plural form remain (the subject is The Market that's singular) so the right answer is C

Another vote for C

market is singular so verb should be singular.. that eliminates A, B and D

E is wordy

C because

1. Such as should be used instead of like
2. subject verb agreement requires use of 'remains'

Hi Tar,
Could you tell us why such is modifying market and not commodities even though it is next to it. If i go by the manhatten sc book, I am failing to see why c would be incorrect

Where is this question from? Because there's no way that (e) is correct - (c) is definitely the right choice (for the reasons already noted).
