Hi all,

I am going to take the TOEFL in 2 days. I have a small doubt about the directions that appear before each question in TOEFL. If we read them, will it eat up the time that is given to solve that question?
Since I have read the OG and seen its tests, am aware of the directions that appear before each question. Is it a good idea to ignore the general directions (written as well as spoken) during the actual test. Are they significantly different from the directions mentioned in OG.

Do let me know.

Thanks.

Hmm... I honestly can't remember if I read any instructions before starting. However, here's the deal: you'll have a clock showing you how much time is left for sure. If you see the clock ticking, then I guess it's eating away at your time.

I used the Official Guide to the TOEFL. I've also heard that the Kaplan TOEFL book is good, but honestly if you're already at a good level, the OG TOEFL is enough.
