Retaking the GMAT

Hi
This post is regarding the suggestions from all those experts who have excelled the GMAT....
Actually I have appeared for the GMAT in April last year and scored 560!!!!!!... A real shame for me...
I am an engineer from India and my academics are good..being a topper throughout my academics make me feel much more lower for getting this score...
My real problem is verbal part..as my score in GMAT was q51 v 19...
Because of this verbal thing m not able to live my MBA dream...so please pour in your valuable suggestions for this part of GMAT ...

Waiting for experts' and other Brilliant guys out there ..

Time to study the verbal portion (although you probably know that by now). Your score can go up quite markedly if you spend time improving this section, all you need is about a 33/34 raw score (around the 40th percentile) to bump your score up to 700. Some basic strategies for each of the sections:

1) CR - focus on answer choices that are close to the topic of the statement
2) RC - Look for your answers to detail oriented questions in the passage, often times they are verbatim
3) SC - Look at the beginning and end of each underlined portion for differences in the answers. If you learn the grammar rules you will be able to employ more logic (all the stuff that got you the impressive 51) when choosing answers.
