BTW b and c i think its C coz B changes the meaning by using having been i.e. As per this sentence she was already US citizen and during this time she was born, its not correct, shivani.magan wrote:Being a United States citizen since 1988 and born in Calcutta in 1940, author Bharati Mukherjee has lived in England and Canada, and first came to the United States in 1961 to study at the Iowa Writers' Workshop.

Also use she doesnt sounds correct its used in semicolons hence both the sentence should be standalone and it seems B lacks anything for "she"
So C should be correct.

B cannot be correct."She" doesn't have any referent and here the focus shifts from citizenship to born.Actual order should have been born>>citizen
C should be correct. Two independent phrases separated by a comma.
