To maintain ll'ism , we need "to seek" (and to increase income by increasing attendance)
Left with C and D

As per MGMAT we can collapse the prepositional phrase with "of" (with some exceptions like time , quantity)without change in the meaning," first of Britain's national museums" is same as "Britain's first national museums"

My take is D . "Seek from" is better than "seek of" .

Please correct if am wrong somewhere ?

To maintain parallelism, the sentence needs to say that the Victoria and Albert Museum was among the first....to seek support...and to increase income. Eliminate A and B (which say seeking) and E (which says that have sought).

In C, the placement of the adjective first changes the intended meaning of the sentence. First national museums means original national museums; in other words, the first national museums to be established. The intended meaning of the sentence is that the Victoria and Albert museum was one of the first to seek support and to increase income. Eliminate C.

The correct answer is D.
