What if I finish a section earlier?

I had a query. What if I finished the quantitative section earlier by a few minutes? Let's say I finished 7 minutes earlier.
Do I get a 7 + 8 minute break or do I still get only 8 minutes between Quantitative and Verbal sections?

Recently, I took a MGMAT CAT and I finished 7 minutes earlier. The system then gave me 15 minutes optional break before directing me to the Verbal section. Is this how it happens on the actual GMAT too?

If not, then it's best to not 'Next-Confirm' the last answer until a few seconds before the test is about to end, isn't it?

Please clarify

When you complete the quantitative section, you get an 8-minute break, but you don't get additional time added to that break if you finish the section early.

If you want to maximize your inactivity (i.e., break), I suppose you can wait before entering the last answer of the math section. Of course, while waiting for the time to run out, you have to wait at the computer (in other words, you can't leave the testing room).

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
