GMAT 530 USA B-school

by chinmaysheth88 » Mon Dec 10, 2012 8:05 am
Hi,
I gave gmat today and got very low score of 530!
I was surprised and demotivated as i was having average 0f 600 on GmatPrep.
I am planning for Fall-2013 intake in USA.
I am 24yrs old, Bachelor of Commerce(B.com) with first class and Chartered accountant(C.A) from India.
Also, i have pursued Entrepreneurship course from SPJIMR,Mumbai.
I have 5years of work exp, which includes 3years training in a C.A Firm, 1 year in ICICI Bank, and 1 year in Family business. I had also started one enterprise of trading but had to closed due to losses.

Can you pls suggest me good b-schools in usa from above information which colleges should i apply?
Pls suggest name of 3-4 b-schools.
I was thinking of Penn State, Babson, Rollins.

Thanks.

Hi Chinmay,

Well it goes without saying that you need to write your GMAT again. Improve you scores (focus on mocks) & make it up to 630 or 650, so that you can start applying in b-schools. If you are writing your GMAT again, then, simultaneously you can work on your application essays, so that you have enough time for comprehensive preparations.

Let me know in case of other concerns you might have. You can even PM your number to have discussion over your profile & selection of b-schools.

Best,
Yash
