First post - where I am and where I want to be...

Hello guys,

620 - Here is where I am... I looked into the structure of the exam and brushed up for a couple of weeks and scored a 620 (Q-43 V34) on the GMAC sample test.


I am looking at 720+ (duno if that is realistic) and planning to take the exam by the end of May, so that I can apply in the first cycle for 2013. I will keep updating this thread with my study plan and progress.

Can you guys suggest me on the plans? Should I consider the 60 day guide, or the 3 month plan?

I am an Asian and like the lot, am particularly weak in Verbal. Will try to come up with a plan that is more concentrated on verbal areas.

You are already halfway through your goal.

V34 is a good score. Anything < 30 makes you weak in verbal. You can give importance to quant to reach 48/49 and with the same verbal score you will get 700. Work more on verbal part you can reach your target score easily.

Identify your weak topics in all the 5 sections. Maximize your quant score. Solve less, review more, make more flash cards and shortcuts. MGMAT guides are good for both quant and verbal.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

Thanks Sam,

I somehow made up my mind that 60 day plan it is. I have a few mails from them and the selection of questions based on the topics is fantastic. This was one single major factor which I was looking for in the first place. I want to tweak the plan a bit to mix quans and verbal preparation. Can someone here please help me if I can find the action items for all 60 days somewhere?
