Probabilty pt question

Team Number of games won
A 4
B 7
C 9
D 2
E 2
X

Accoording to the incomplete table above, if each of the 6 teams in the league played each of the other teams exactly twice and there were no ties, how many games did team X win? (Only 2 teams play in a game).

A. 4
B. 5
C. 6
D. 8
E. 10

it seems easy..but then i got stuck...

I'm getting 6. Is the answer C ?

Each team plays each of the other team implies total number of games
= 6C2 = 15. Since this happens twice, total number of games = 30.

Tallying up the number of games won we get 24 (4 + 7 + 9 + 2 + 2)

So, the remaining 6 games were won by team X.

Total games played if each team plays each of the other team exactly once = 6C2=15
Since each team plays each of the other atleast 2 times - Games played = 15*2=30
Hence games won by X should be 30-24=6
