Circle C & line K are in the xy-plane. If circle C is centered at the origin and has radus 1, does line k intersect circle C?
(1) The x-intercept of line k is greater than 1
(2) The slope of line k is -1/10

ans (E)

1) Not Sufficent coz x intercept greater than 1 does not say anything about how the line lies in the plane. On point can have infinite lines passing through it.

2) Not sufficient. Slope of the line says nothing about the position of the line.

1) and 2) together. If you take x=2, you have a 'y' which will cut the circle. But if x=1000, y will be -100, here the line wont cut the circle.

Hence the answer should be E.
