types of DS questions

by tacobell » Sun May 11, 2008 11:13 am
I read somewhere, probably in this forum, that there are a few types of DS questions. Such as Yes/NO, etc?
Could someone list them or include the link to the original post?
Thanks.

Two types:

(1) value judgments (about 2/3 of DS Qs)

Value judgments ask you to solve for an exact value and usually start with the words "what", "how much" or "how many". A statement is sufficient if it gives you EXACTLY 1 value.

(2) yes/no (about 1/3 of DS Qs)

Yes/no questions usually begin with "is", "can", "does" or "are" (or some other variation of the verb "be'). A statement is sufficient if it gives a definite yes OR a defininte no answer.
