Hi All,
Need your advice.
I have taken a GMAT prep course in Sept 2007 for 14 lessons. I did not take my GMAT test after because I felt inadequately prepared.
I scheduled my GMAT test to be on 15 Apr 08. I am currently preparing for this exam by:
1) Revising the materials from my prep course (Done)
2) Doing questions from OG 11. (I am starting from the more difficult ones and marking the ones which I get wrong to go back to later).
As of today I think I am comfortable with Quant (PS and DS) questions. With a bit more practice, I think I should be able to get at least 80% of the questions right. Just started doing Verbal (SC), which I am currently getting about 50-65% of the questions right.
3) Intend to complete 1 of the gmat prep tests this weekend. Do the next one the following weekend.
I feel I can be better prepared. Do I still take the test on the 15 Apr?
What can I do to gauge if I should take the test?
Note: I am saving the 2 gmat prep tests for when I am really sure I am going to take the test. I dont want to use this up when in case I decide not to take the GMAT test. Are there many other such prep CAT GMAT tests which can simulate the actual GMAT environment?
Also the reason why I havent had the chance to prepare for the GMAT since my prep course is because I am currently doing a part-time MSc and my last exam ended on the 15 Mar 08. My next module starts on the 20 Apr thus I scheduled my GMAT for the 15 Apr thinking I would have enough time to prepare and get ready for it. But after reading a couple of posts on this forum, I am starting to think that I should really do much more preparation. Perhaps attempt the GMAT only when I have at least 8 weeks (whilst working) of preparation time?
