Hi,
Range = Highest price - lowest price.
For May,
15000 = Highest price in May - 4500.
So, Highest price in May = 19,500
For June,
16500 = Highest price in June - 6100
So, Highest price in June = 22,600
For the period of May and June, Highest price is 22,600 and lowest price is 4,500
So, Range = 22,600 - 4500 = 18,100$
Cheers!

Information we were given:
Lowest in May: $4,500. Range in May: $15,000. Lowest in June: $6,100. Range in June: $16,500.

We want to find the highest in each month:
Highest in May = $4,500+$15,000=$19,500. Highest in June = $6,100+$16,500=$22,600.

Now, using the highest and lowest prices over the two months we can find the overall range:
Lowest in May and June = $4,500. Highest in May and June = $22,600.
Range in May and June = $22,600-$4,500=$18,100.
