Dear asm210,

Generally speaking, you are on your way to building a competitive profile. However, it is incomplete at this point in time. You have the right numbers with your GPA and GMAT to look at any MBA program. What you need to do between now and the time you apply is gain quality work experience to build your resume and participate in some community activities/extracurriculars outside of work. I also encourage you to use the next couple of years to research programs and the MBA degree to determine what schools are the right ones for you and what your career goals are. These are also important parts of the equation.

Best of luck,
Lisa

Thanks for your response. I completely understand that there is still work to be done. However, could you provide an early list of schools that you feel I would be competitive given my stats and my job as an Investment Banking analyst.
I appreciate the time and effort

What schools are right for you might not be the schools that are right for another applicant that looks similar on paper. School choice is somewhat individual based on your personal list of criteria and how you prioritize that list. I encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection for tips on researching schools to get your started on your research.
