Executive Program vs. part time often is dictated by who is paying the bill. I assume by the fact that you are looking to change careers that you will be paying your own way through whatever program you choose. In this case, you might consider the evening program. You also will not need to take time off from work to participate, since evening programs are typically designed to work around a normal work schedule. Executive programs are usually more expensive, but the upside is that they don't take as long to complete. You also will generally have to miss an occasional day of work (typically one Friday a month or more) to participate. The downside is that in general, there is a stigma against executive MBA degrees on the part of hiring companies. The Executive MBA was truly designed for the busy executive who is so important in his role at his company that he does not have the time to complete a "full boat" program, and graduates of Exec programs typically stay with their current company. For this reason, there is not quite the same focus getting exec. grads a job after they graduate. Some companies look upon exec MBA grads as having had an "MBA Lite" experience, a label that you will find less with an evening MBA and even less with a full time program. Another thing I noticed is that you already have a Master's degree. If this degree is in business, you will have an uphill climb convincing an adcom that you also need an MBA. If your Masters degree is in another field, it will help you. Hope this helps you make your decision.

Thanks for responding...

Yes, I will have to pay the Tution fees as my company doesnt sponsor MBA. I didnt know that the hiring companies have a stigma towards EMBA. Thats a great input. So, it looks like I need to go for Evening/Weekend programs, which also means I need to get 700+ on my GMAT :(

If the Adcom asks me as to why I didnt apply for EMBA program, can I say that I am looking for a career shift from Project Management to Management COnsulting stream. Since this is not possible in EMBA program, I didnt go for it. Let me know if I can say this.

They shouldn't question why you didn't go the eMBA route, so I wouldn't worry about that. As for GMAT--another dirty little secret that not many people realize is that the MBA rankings are based solely on the full time MBA programs, so if a top school also offers an evening program, because the evening program stats are not included in the rankings data, they are generally more lenient on things like GMAT scores. Evening programs are more expensive than full time and are usually revenue generating areas of business schools (contrarily, often full time programs cost the school more than they bring in). So schools want to pack out their evening programs, collect a bunch of tuition and then use their full time program as their loss leader which helps them climb the rankings by being more selective. Bottom line is, you can't trust in the posted "average" GMAT scores for a school's program when evaluating their part time program's requirements. Hope this is encouraging.

Wow, thats a great information. Never knew that. Now I can confidently apply to the Evening program as I dont think I can manage 700+ in the next 1month. Both Kellogg and Booth have programs starting in Jan. I will be applying to those programs. Kellogg has Round 1 and Round 2 for the Jan program. Does it matter if I apply in R2? Would it also be possible that they give me admission to a different date (may be March program) than what I've applied for?

Those are pretty practical questions that would be good to pose directly to the admissions office. Don't be afraid to get in touch there and introduce yourself--I am always shocked at how many applicants avoid contact with admissions...they can actually be a real ally in helping you get in. As for which round, in general, the earlier the better is the rule. THey will begin filling seats as soon as they think they have a qualified applicant...the seats eventually fill up and by the time last round rolls around, they are mostly accounted for. Good luck.
