Since a rhinoceros that has no horn is worthless to poachers, the Wildlife Protection Committee plans to protect selected rhinoceroses form being killed by poachers by cutting off the rhinos’ horns.
The Wildlife Protection Committee’s plan assumes that
(A) poachers do not kill rhinos that are worthless to them
(B) hornless rhinos pose less of a threat to humans, including poachers, than do rhinos that have horns
(C) rhinos are the only animals poachers kill for their horns
(D) hornless rhinos can successfully defend their young against nonhuman predators
(E) imposing more stringent penalties on poachers will not decrease the number of rhinos killed by poachers

Torn between A and E.

A wins if u negate that the conclusion that rhinos can be protected from poachers by cutting off thier horns falls apart.

If u negate E) imposing more stringent penalties on poachers will decrease the number of rhinos k!IIed by poachers, this still does not support the concusion that rhinos can be protected from poachers by cutting off thier horns falls apart

I go wiht A)

I should stop smoking :)

People are strange when you're a stranger,
Faces look ugly when you're alone.
Women seem wicked when you're unwanted,
Streets are uneven when you're down.

When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain.
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange,
When you're strange,
When you're strange.

All right, yeah!

IMO it is A.
E looks close but "imposining more stringent penalities" is Out of scope in the strictest sense.
The argument talks about "protect selected rhinos from getting killed by poachers". A directly addresses that point by saying the removing the horns will render the rhinos useless to poaches and so they will not kill rhinos.

OA is O only. But E is important, remember its an Assumption question and a answer that kills an alternate is well a correct answer and E is an excellent option from that perspective see that option omce more:

imposing more stringent penalties on poachers will not decrease the number of rhinos k!IIed by poachers

Doesn't it kill an alternate that imposing more stringent rule itself will not have desired effects, willn't one choose E if A is not there?

If your answer is affirmative then can one provide merit of A over E, remember extreme or outside or new information is acceptable in assmption question, any way assumptions are not stated premises...logitech what is ur take on this
