IMO A.
This is a parallel construction.
B --> "possibilities to prevent or inhibit" doesn't match with "reducing the heart..."
C --> Same as B.
D --> Changes the meaning.
E --> Changes the meaning.

I would actually vote for E here. The subject of the clause is "the brewed leaves" plural, so "its" does not work.

What is the OA?

IMO -E
Reasons

inhibit means prevent so the correct sent. must say prevent or inhibit //preventing or inhibiting
thus we are left with 2 options B and E
in addition to is wordy so i go with E
