by MBA 2011 » Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:33 pm
Hi,

I have 2 years of financial risk consulting in a big 4 experience and planning on going to business school in 2011. My undergraduate GPA 3.1 with a 3.6 in my major (finance) from a top 100. I have scored a 710 on the GMAT and am planning on applying to georgetown, cornell, insead, duke, usc, ucla, darden, emory, and hec.

Thanks

Dear MBA 2011,

You are building a strong foundation for your future applications. Your GMAT is excellent and competitive and your GPA is within range for your target schools. Over the next couple of years, continue to gain breadth and depth in your career while contributing to your firm. Likewise, you want to have outside interests and activities you can note and possibly write about in your applications. If you won't gain much leadership experience at work, then this is something you can also seek in an outside activity, like a community organization or nonprofit.

Good luck,
Lisa
