Visiting B Schools

I live in India, and would like to plan a trip to the US to visit my dream schools- Harvard, Wharton, NYU Stern.

When would be a good time to do so?

Is it a bad idea to plan a visit some time in June-July?

Why not write to the admission committee and plan on following:

1) Meeting some faculty
2) Attending some demo classes

In any case it would be better to write to adcom and discuss the above with them before you make such a trip.
