Essay:
In any enterprise, the process of making or doing something is ultimately more important than the final product." Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion expressed above. Support your point of view with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.
Your response:
Some people think that the process of making or doing something is more important as compared to the final product. However, others claim that ultimately the final product matters more than process of making or doing something. This issue is far away from black and white but, a closer examination reveals that it is the final product that ultimately matters. My observations are based on the reasons which I am going to present in the following paragraphs.
First of all, from my own experience I have observed that how much perfect the making process be, if the final product is not upto mark and as per the expectations, then no one even pays a slender attention towards the making process. For example, in my work place, i.e., IT, we have to deliver the products as per the client's requirements and expectations. The client is just concerned with the defect free deliveries on the stipulated time. We always get appreciated for the final defect free product even though there were hindrances in the doing process which could affect quality of the process. Similarly, if we take an example of a player, even though very efficient in his game, if he/she does not perform on the D-day, everyone starts questioning his abilities and if the same player lives upto the expectations, he always gets appreciated.
Secondly, there is more than one manufacturer for a product and hence, there are different manufacturing processes and channels involved. For example say there are two different companies A and B which manufacture the same product .Customers do not research the making process prior to buying the products, rather they always go for those products only which are good in quality. We can not conclude that the company A's products are better than those of company B's products because the process of making of the former is better than that of the latter.
Finally, one may disagree by saying that the quality of the final products would be good only if the whole process of making them is perfect. However, I would strongly disagree because in my view point, in today's world it is the quality of the products that makes the process of making good.
In summary, while there are arguments to be made for both sides, I believe that the final product outweighs the process of making or doing something. I strongly hold the different viewpoint from the author's viewpoint that the process is more important.
