"It is unrealistic to expect individual nations to make, independently, the sacrifices necessary to conserve energy. International leadership and worldwide cooperation are essential if we expect to protect the world's energy resources for future generations."

Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

Now a day there is a hot debate among scientists about the depletion of natural resources in the world. This controversial issue is been discussed in many ways but with no solid and conclusive ending. As in the preceding statement the issue which is been discussed is the role of nations to stop the depletion of natural resources to protect the future of our forthcoming generation.
It is predicted that the natural resources are been utilized by this modern world more abruptly than ever before. No doubt, natural resources are limited and if these exploitation continuous in such a way, there is no way to prevent the world from deprivation for the coming generation.
Global Corporation is also very important to cope with this situation. It is the fact that more you explore the resources; more you will get the benefit. If a country stop exploring the natural resources and start focusing on its own ability to get progress, the challenge is tougher than other which is using its resources. So, everyone has to play its own role so that everyone got the same platform to compete with each other.
But it is the fact that developed nations are more favouring it than the developing and under-developed nations. The reason is clear that developed nations have succeeded their optimum progress on the other side, developing and underdeveloped are on their way. But, without proper consensus, this goal cannot be achieved. If a country is not utilizing their natural resources, other will get progress and got the faster progress.
But many scientists do not believe this theory and consider this theory baseless. They are not of the view of depletion of these resources. Some scientist is taking it in a different way. They are saying that as the world is moving to new advancement, new and cheaper resources are coming up like solar energy is the biggest example in front of us.
In sum, it is impossible to expect every nation to stop using natural resources and there is no way to face a shortage of natural resources in the future.
