Most essays ask for examples and most essays with high scores give examples. My question is that can a local example be used. I am from India and can I quote examples pertaining to my country. Is that okay or should the examples be of a more international standard?

Examples are not biased on the location, you have to give examples at times from real life experiances which will definately be from your geographical location.

I did give some local examples and didnt feel that I was disadvantaged in my scoring. Try and put a minimum of 3 examples.
