Hi,

Kindly, review and rate my essay for Issue analysis on the below topic:

"An advanced degree may help someone get a particular job. Once a person begins working,
however, the advanced degree and the formal education it represents are rarely relevant to success
on the job."

---------------------------

The statement opines that an advanced degree may only be helpful to secure a job, but this degree is rarely relevant to success on the job. However, it is true that merely having an advanced degree cannot ensure success at job but such a degree would equip a person with the right skills to perform duties of role held by him or her. Hence, it is incorrect to claim that advanced degree and the formal education it represents are rarely relevant to success on the job.

First, I think that curriculum, activities, rigor and focus that entails a degree makes a person eligible to hold a position of certain role and responsibilities. For example, a person who has pursued MBA in operations cannot be given a role of technical architecture of a project and similarly, a person who has done MS in computer sciences can't be taken for a role of market analyst in a financial firm. There is, therefore, a correspondence of duties to be done on the job and the skills that a person possess. By carrying out the relevant duties on the job scrupulously using the skills he or she possesses makes a person successful.

Secondly, as a person grows in his or her career he or she has to take job related decisions on a regular basis. The judgment on such decisions will only be fruitful if one has the right foundation on the subjects the person is dealing with. It though appears that the job that a person is doing has lost the relevance of the degree held by him or her, in fact, it is through years of experience of application of skills learn t at the schools in one's job makes a person confident, result oriented and successful.

In the closing, it is incorrect to claim that advanced degree does not have a relevance to success on the job. Success on the job comes from the scrupulous application of skills that a person learns at the school. Moreover, it is through the years of experience of application of skills that makes a person successful at job.
