The issue is:-
Human nature dictates that every action, no matter how selfless it appears, is inspired by a selfish reason.
Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the above opinion. Support your position with reasons and examples from your own experience, observations of others, or reading.
Answer:
The author's meaning with the statment above is that it is human nature that he/she will do the thing which is inspired by some of a selfish reason, however he/she may claim that it was done selflessly. I completly agree with the author.
Starting from a small kid to a very elder person, everybody is leaving in this world for their own purpose. Mother child relation is said to be selflessed. Do you think a mother feed her child selflessly? I don't think so. She also has hidden slefishness i.e. the child will be support of her, when she will be old. Or at least she will expect that it will make her name rise, when it grows up.
Take any example of the people doing donation. Big organizations, religious institutes all are always ready to help the people who need it. If we observe one thing, most of the time all these comes to the news(publicity => selfish reason). Now there are few who says that we do make donations without publicity, even they might have some kind of tax saving plans or some hidden selfish thing.
Very religious people may say that they don't expect any return or any publicity or any buisness out of helping people. They may be correct but still they are doing it with a selfish reason that is to get credit of doing good jobs and find Heaven after death.
Finally i would say that it is an human nature, which motivates them to live, to work in this world, to do any job inspired by any selfish reason.
