I graduated from BBA (Finance) in May this year and currently work at an investment banking KPO in India. I want to write GMAT and get into a good b-school to further my prospects in domains of private equity, investment banking, asset management and consulting.
The issue is, almost all finance related jobs here are back end in nature and the tasks we have to perform have very little to do with core finance application. Anyone trained to perform these tasks can do them in close to a month's time and there's not much value addition to me personally. In such a scenario, I find it hard to garner 2 years of work experience so that b-schools take me seriously. Should I apply for colleges even though I don't have work experience? I considered a Masters in Management but is that program really worth pursuing?
