Hi.. I'm prepping for SC at the moment and read this in a leading business journal, and want to know whether such a representation is correct:
"The board did debate on it and were not pleased with it".
I would have thought that it's wrong and that you could much rather say:
"The board debated over it and was not pleased with it".
I did get some responses from another forum, but I'm not wholly convinced and would just like to make sure there isn't more to it.
