Took GMAT practice test and scored very low (I'm too ashamed to report it). Taking prep class and would like to improve by 200 points or more.
I have two degrees, BS and MS (from top national university), with GPA 3.4 and 3.9 respectively, and extensive course work in the sciences. I'm hoping this will help off-set the low GMAT. What would be the lowest acceptable GMAT to apply to top MBA schools? I would like to apply to at least one top 10 school and also looking at UNC/UVA range schools.
Also, do adcoms take your current salary into account? I'm already well over six figures. Will adcoms view this as a reflection of advancement in the work place? I don't have management experience, but have a job that requires critical thinking and tons of independent decision making in high pressure situations.
Thanks!
