Target school UCLA Anderson,USC Marshall

Hi Stacy,

My GMAT acore is 700 ( 47 Q,39 V)
I am an Indian IT female. My target schools are UCLA and USC Marshall.
Extracurriculars: average
community work : good
GPA : 3.0

As I have already missed the first deadline for these two colleges should I retake GMAT and apply with a better score?
Will getting 720 or 730 make a huge difference? Will it increase my chances of getting through these colleges?
I am otherwise good at Qunat.During the quant section I was facing some disturbance in the center so I did not do well!

Dear shilpi84,

With your current score at a 700, I don't know that increasing your GMAT score 20-30 points will make much of a difference in your decisions. A higher score will not hurt you, but it will not compensate for poorly written essays. It is more important at this point to turn in a strong, quality application by R2. You want to spend the time and effort on your essays and resume to make your case for admission.

Good luck,
Lisa
