not too hard of a math problem.. but i'd rather do this faster than having to solve it by hand. nothing really major poped out that can be simplified.
8^2 = (2^3)^2 = 2^6

so

2^6 * 2^4 = 2^10

then

96 = 8 * 12

(2^3 *2^2 * 3)^2
2^10 * 3^2

(2^10 * 3^3)/ (2^10 * 3^2) = 3

k. i see the simplification now.. its pretty easy.. its weird cause i missed 11 questions on math but still scored a 49 on quant on my gmat prep test 1.
