CAT 4

There is not a word meaning "privacy" in the Italian language, as there is in German, a fact that might be reflective of the more gregarious nature of the Italian national character.

A There is not a word meaning "privacy" in the Italian language, as there is in German, a fact that might be reflective of

B Because there is no word meaning "privacy" in the Italian language, as there is for German, there might be a reflection of
C Unlike German, there is no word meaning "privacy" in Italian, and that fact might reflect
D Because there is not a word meaning "privacy" in Italian, as there is in German, that might be a reflection of
E There is no word meaning "privacy" in Italian, as there is in German, a fact that might reflect

OA : E

Is it that in A'; "The Italian Language" may parallel with " German "... Afterall German ..too implies.. German Language right ???
Will A be a good contender ?

It looks like E is well structured and is more concise than A.
I was stuck between A and E but to me E is the better of the two.

'in Italian' and 'in German' are more parallel than 'in the Italian language' and 'in German', although German technically refers to the language.

Thanks!

A can be ignored as "might be reflective of" sounds passive. And also, Not X but Y is the correct idiom. I was inclined towards C, but "and that fact" is mentioned, which makes it wrong. That is not referring to a noun.

Regards,
Viju
"Native of" is used for a individual while "Native to" is used for a large group

check grammar

"there is not a word" is wrong. "there is not any word" or "there is no word" is right

A is out

"unlike..., there is" is wrong. After "unlike" phrase, a noun of comparison is needed.

C is out

Check meaning/style

the meaning of "because", "because of" is not the original meaning. B and D is out

"reflect" verb is more concise than adjective "reflective of"
