In the xy-plane, what is the slope of line l?
(1) Line l dose not intersect the line with equation y = 1 - x.
(2) Line l intersects the line with equation y = x – 1.

I think its D.

Only a line parallel to the line does not intersect with the line.
(1) : y = -x + 1 slope of a line should be the same as that of this line, in order to be parallel to this line. therefore, slope of L is -1.
(2) same as above, slope = 1.

ps: equation y=mx+c has slope as m.

answer is A for the reason you cited.

statement II is insufficient because this could have any slope. did you mistake intersected to mean perpendicular, like I did the first time?

I'll go with E

The fact that the line does not intersect y=-x+1 doesn't mean they have the same slope.
