Hi tuang,

Bummer about the last score! But don't worry about it - you will self-report your scores to the schools and in most cases, the schools ask you to identify which score you want them to consider. They will see the full history of scores, but the most recent lower score will not be a huge problem, since you've proven that you can do better than that. The fact that you tried again could even be a tiny bit in your favor, since it shows that you weren't willing to give up! For a tier 2 school, as you put it, this should not be a showstopper for you.

Hope this helps!

Dear essaysnark,

Thank you for your response.
I was so depressed as my friend told me that I have to send email to explain why I got a lot lower score and that hugh different would surely affect my application. Also, they might think that I was lucky for the last time that I got higher score.

Cheers,
Tuang

LOL Tuang - don't think anyone ever gets a good GMAT score 'cuz they're "lucky" -- the test actually has been extensively engineered to make sure that doesn't happen!

There's so much stress (and so much misinformation) about this stuff... It's good that you asked!!!

Best of luck,
