Median @statistics

Set J consists of the first (smallest) seven prime numbers.

In below problem, I feel it is not only 1 but both the numbers 1 and 7 since they are less than 9(current median).

Please clarify?

So, set J = {2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17}
The median = 7

Adding 7 to the set will not reduce the median.
So, 1 is the only value that will reduce the median.

I think you may be mistaking {1, 7, 9, 15, 18} for the set, but those are just five numbers, each of which COULD be added to the set.
