What is t? is it the height of the triangle?

T:S is the ratio of the area between the triangle and the square.

THE "t" is the length of the triangle and the "s" stands for the sides of the square.

if the 2 regions above have the same area. what is the ratio t:s?

2:3
16:3
4:radical 3
2:4^radical3

plese explain

area (T)=sq root (3)/4* (a1)^2,a1= triangle side.
area(sq.)= (a2)^2, a2 = side of sq.
area(T)=Area(sq)
so,
sq root(3)/4*(a1)=(a2)^2.
hence, a1/a2=2:4^radical3.
