-3.73 GPA with degree in Finance from top 75 US News ranked University
-Played for Division 1 basketball team while in college as a walk-on
-Turn 26 in Oct of this year (shooting to apply late summer/early fall this year for '14 entry)
-White Male
-720 GMAT 1st try (44V & 45Q - think I underperformed the quant a bit so retaking)
-Have CFA designation
-Work for mid-size investment consulting firm ($13B AUM)
-Promoted once with outside shot at second promotion (current title senior analyst)
-Picked up photography hobby recently and have won a couple of minor contests already
-Would like to use MBA to pivot from investment consulting to security-level investment work
-Columbia would be first choice, I don't think Harvard is a great shot due to financial services background at non household name but would love to be wrong. Wharton would be my practical second choice, followed by Darden as a fairly distant third. My understanding is that Columbia and Wharton might value the CFA designation but I'm new to this so I'm not sure.
