You are part of the most competitive group of applicants applying to business school, your profile does appear to be pretty strong within that group. If you can put together strong applications in time, you will benefit from applying in the first rounds. You should be competitive overall with the majority of schools you list. Your essays will be crucial. cheers, Alex

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your reply.
I have a dilemma that I haven't done enough with my score, will it benefit me if I go for GMAT again and aim a higher score of 740-760, which I know I am capable of. Also can you tell me other upper mid-tier colleges which will help me fulfill my Boston consulting dream. I see the colleges I have listed don't have a good spread and if I miss out on one I might miss on all of them.
If you can suggest some colleges which are not top tier yet worth looking at then it would be great help.I have been scouring internet for data on such colleges but nothing concrete yet. Since, you're an expert I hope you will have some advice for me.

Honestly, re: selecting schools to apply: go to a few rankings, write down the schools listed from 10-20, then see which ones send students to BCG ? I suppose if you can get a 750+ it might be worthwhile, but I would not do this if it compromises your efforts on your essays! or means pushing all your apps to a later round. If you can, apply in round 1 for a few schools (with strong essays etc) cheers, Alex
