So my profile goes like this...
I'm a Canadian Undergraduate in Communications (minored in business). I received a CGPA of B- (so that would be around 2.8, I would assume). I am currently doing my CMA in Canada, and working as an accountant, while doing volunteer non-profit consulting work on the side. I'm interested in applying to both Canadian and US MBA schools.
Assuming I receive a GMAT score of 670, my question is this. Since I do have a low GPA score, would my CMA have any big impact on MBA school admissions? Or would I have to address my low GPA score directly (like you mentioned in your "sticky post") and mention how I overcame that low GPA struggle by achieving a designation like the CMA and did volunteer NPO consulting?
What would be the best way to use the CMA designation to its upmost advantage when applying to a MBA school?
Thanks very much for your advice,
Chuck
