Technical Resume??

by Cinji18 » Sat May 01, 2010 11:30 am
I have worked as an engineer since I graduated from college, so my resume is very technical. I would be a good resume if I were to apply for an engineering school, but it's probably too technical for a business school. How should I change it? What should I emphasize? The three things I can think of are the four years of Japanese in college, advance technical writing skills, and maybe the teamwork, communication parts. I'm not sure what else.

Thanks.

Even if your experience is largely technical, you should still emphasize career advancement, leadership, teamwork, and problem solving. Additionally, you should use your essays/interviews to communicate other non-technical areas of interests and extracurricular experiences so that you are seen as a well rounded applicant who will be able to communicate with classmates.
