by archanavakiyil » Thu Aug 05, 2010 12:02 am
Hello,

Me: 28, F , Quality Consultant, 6 Yrs WE, India.

I plan to apply for an MBA in the US in 2012 Fall. I would like to know if age will be a deterrent factor for admissions to good B - Schools for a full time course.

Appreciate a reply,

Archana

Hope this is not reflective of responses from B-schools. :D

Age should not be a factor as long as you have done something productive with the years since you completed your education. There were people in their early forties in my class and many schools show average work experience of 5-6 years. Focus instead on the progress and learning you have shown in the past six years and the quality of recommendations from your employer.
