Hi Everyone!

I'd like to give it a go for the last intake of INSEAD (July this year). Please let me know if you think I should do it or wait for October instead.

My profile is:

Overall: Russian, Consultant in IT/Telecom, work experience: 3 yrs part time, 5 yrs full-time, 3 companies - all purely IT. A lot of customer communication around the world, middle-management position with my last company

Age: 29 (30 in a month)

GMAT: 740 (Q50, V39) AWA 4.0

IELTS: overall band score 8.0 out of 9.0

International exposure: a lot, worked on contracts in 7 countries for 2-15 months, traveled a lot on my own

Extra-curricular: mediocre; donated to Green Peace, taught kids for a couple of weeks (English and computers), some sports

Thanks for your time!

That is one impressive profile. Good experience, exposure to different countries, a very good GMAT score and some management experience....I am sure any college will look forward to this blend. With the mix you have I don't think lack of extra curricular will be an issue.

So here is my 2 cents...Ultimately it will boil down to how you present yourself in the Essay, how you can show that you will gain from INSEAD and what you can contribute to the INSEAD diversity from your experience. So if you have sufficient time to research this and come up with a good essay in time for the July 28 deadline and you can backup this up with some good recos I think there is no harm in going for it.

PS: I am not an Admission Consultant, thought I will weigh in my opinion since this was not responded to yet.

Thanks asamaverick, appreciate the feedback.

Any of the gurus, could you help me out please?
Did anyone help candidates on Round 3 of INSEAD (or LBS or Stanford or Harvard to that matter)? How picky do they get by the last round?

I've gone through many profiles and admission reports on the net, almost everyone applies on Rounds 1 and 2...
