Undergrad vs. Masters GPA

by oceanview421 » Sat May 22, 2010 1:25 pm
Hello all,

I am currently enrolled in a concurrent masters program, where I have already received a masters degree in management and will receive a masters in international business in December.

My question is, when applying to MBA programs, will they take into account my undergrad GPA along with my GPA from graduate school, or just the grad school GPA?

I had a 3.1 in undergrad, and now have a 3.4 in grad school.

Thanks,
Zach

Hi Zach,

Admissions committees will evaluate both your undergraduate and graduate transcripts. They will look at how you performed in individual courses, as well as how you did overall and any trends of note. Based on your cumulative GPAs, it looks like you are right around to slightly below the average for most MBA programs. With a solid GMAT score, you should have a competitive academic profile.

Good luck,
Lisa
