Please advise -

by radical change » Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:21 pm
I am in a atypical situation. My husband has an admit from School A already ( he applied in round 1). Now, I am applying to School A in Round 2 and was wondering if there is a non-awkward way to tell the adcom about our situation in any of the essays?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Hi,

Most schools usually have a section where they ask about your spouse or significant other and if they have attended the program. You can use this section (if available at school A) to explain he is matriculating in Fall 2010. If the school of which you speak does not have this question in the application, I suggest writing a very brief optional essay explaining that he will be attending. Try not to use this essay as a plea to be admitted so that you two can be together, but rather as a brief statement explaining the uniqueness of your situation.

Best of luck!
